Live Theatre Performance – I Love You Mum, I Promise I Won’t Die

  • 30th September 2026
  • 17:30

Wednesday 30 September 2026 | From 5.30pm

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation will bring its powerful theatre production I Love You Mum, I Promise I Won’t Die to Moray this September.

Based on a true story, the play explores the realities of young people and drugs in an honest, compassionate and thought-provoking way. It provides an opportunity to build understanding, encourage open conversations and consider how we can better support young people and families.

The performance is suitable for young people aged 13+, parents, carers and professionals.

The evening will also provide an opportunity to meet local organisations, learn more about the support and activities available across Moray, and access information in a welcoming environment.

Event programme

  • 5.30pm – Marketplace of local support and activity providers opens
  • 6.00pmI Love You Mum, I Promise I Won’t Die performance begins
  • Tea and coffee will be provided by young baristas from Elgin Academy

The performance aims to encourage conversations about drugs and their impact, build empathy and understanding through real-life experiences, and promote hope, resilience and informed choices.

We recognise that some of the themes explored may feel difficult or personal. People are encouraged to look after themselves in whatever way feels right for them, and information about local support will be available at the event.
